    The Full Tin

The Full Tin is the perfect package for you if you are need of complete design overhaul for an existing home or new construction project. Your project intends to make to changes to an entire home or several rooms of a home in a large-scale remodel. These projects will have the highest impact of change and likely require an Architect or Engineer as part of the design team. You may be working with a contractor or builder already, or have hired an architect. Early in the process is when we should be talking so that we can participate in initial Visioning & Preliminary Budget Exercises. Make sure to check out the process page for a suggested sequence for larger projects.

What’s in “The Full Tin” ?

    • Concept & Visioning: Client and Designer Collaboration to set overall vision for the project.

    • Schematic Design: 2D Floor Plans to show suggested space planning options. Selected floor plan will continue on to next design phases.

    • Design Development: Design and Selection of all Finishes, Materials, Plumbing Fixtures, Lighting Fixtures, Paint, Cabinetry, and all other items needed for project scope areas. Physical material samples provided when available.

    • Design Construction Drawings: Technical Interior Design drawings to be used in conjunction to applicable architectural/permit plans (interior elevations, lighting plans, power/switching plans, renderings for on-site coordination)

    • Construction Administration: Attend site meetings with client and/or General Contractor to assist in providing information or solutions to issues that may arise during construction. Typical site visits occur after plumbing/electrical rough-ins, before finish installation, and prior to important appointments such as countertop templating, etc.

    • Furnishings: Furniture Selections will be made for all scope areas. Procurement (item ordering), Professional receiving and installation/styling will be coordinated by designer for all scope areas.

COST: Fees will vary. Custom Proposal will be created after 1st in-person home consultation. 20-minute introductory call to see if this is the right package for your project is complementary. Initial pre-proposal home visit will be $225.

*Due to the large scope of this project type, an updated interior design proposal will be created once Schematic Design phase is completed and scope is better defined with other team members such as client’s architect and/or builder. Normal market rate for interior designer fees typically end up 5-8% of overall construction budget and will vary based on project’s complexity.

  • An open interior design magazine with a pair of black glasses on top, surrounded by various interior decor samples, a small white vase, hexagonal tiles, a marble slab, and sample paint swatches on a wooden table.

    The Half Tin

The Half Tin is a good fit for projects that do not require permits. They are typically affecting more cosmetic items such as changing cabinetry, paint colors, decorative light fixtures, and less heavy construction tasks. These projects still result in high-impact changes to the home or space, but not have the same heavy construction component of Full Tin projects.

Depending on the scope, the Interior Designer may be able to act as Project Manager and not require the use of a General Contractor. **The Half Tin package is not appropriate for New Construction or heavy construction remodel projects.
